Maximum Overdrive..The Sequel

Have you ever seen the movie Maximum Overdrive? It was a movie out in the mid 80's that starred Emilio Estevez where the machines and power tools tried to take over and went on the attack. It seems that Constantine Maroulis in landing a part in Brel has inspired the sequel to this movie across the internet. There are some tools gone wild. By tools I mean non-Con fans who follow him and his fans every move. They go to every article, blog, and message board that they can to leave negative comments and feed back about Constantine and his fans. The topic of the moment seems to be the behavior of Constantine fans at the Brel shows. Seems the tools think the Con fans will be squeeing, screaming and peeing all over the place at inappropriate moments and ruin the show. Sounds to me like wishful thinking. The tools are hoping and praying that Con fans and Constantine himself will step out of line and ruin the entire show for everyone. I have to LOL about this! For people who profess to not like the guy but yet follow his every move..some even going so far as to show up at his performances and shows and spend a great deal of time attempting to degrade Constantine and his fans has got to be the most bizarre behavior ever!!! Who in their right mind would spend money and waste precious time out of their life to keep such close tabs on people that apparently bring no enjoyment to them?? Seems to me that it would only make them miserable. I guess the enjoyment comes in at the part where the non fans think that by bringing negative comments to everything that Constantine and his fans love and enjoy they will be able to dismember the fandoms and halt Constantine's progressive career. If they truly believe that Constantine and his fans are that bad then they need to do nothing. All they would have to do is sit back, relax and wait for it to all fall apart on its own. Let nature take its course. On the other hand, there is really no need for Constantine fans to defend their Greek boy. Let his talents speak for him. You know he's going to be great in Brel and do you proud! Let those talents do the talking for you. Doing his best and putting everything he has into his performances will ease away a good portion of the concerns. People need to see for themselves that Constantine can do this part and do it well. Those of you who can, be there to support him . In the end you will get satisfaction out of seeing him do a wonderful job and showing others just how much talent he truly has. Put your faith in Greek boy and his performance. It will speak louder than any defense you could provide. Of course there are always going to be those who have different opinions and won't love Constantine's performance in Brel or in anything else for that matter but that's ok. You can't please everyone.
To the fans of Brel I say that I understand your concerns but that I hope you will be fair and give Constantine a chance to show what he can do before making your final decision on his performance in Brel. You just may be pleasantly surprised. It's also very sad that people have harassed you. Please don't let a few bad seeds ruin your apple pie and your perception of all of Constantine's fans. Give his fans a chance as well and please don't base your opinions on words typed on the internet. You never really know if it was Constantine fans or not. I'm sure you will meet quite a few of them at Brel and that will give you a true sense of how the majority of them really are be it good or bad.

GH's Luke and Laura Drop in on TWS

Original Article Here
Anthony Geary and Genie Francis aka "General Hospital" stars Luke and Laura will make a guest appearance in Broadway's The Wedding Singer Nov. 15.

During The Wedding Singer's first act, a press release states, "George (Kevin Cahoon) and Sammy (Constantine Maroulis) are cheering up their friend Robbie (Stephen Lynch) who was just jilted at the altar. Noticing that Robbie's predicament seems a lot like a soap opera, George mentions 'General Hospital' and Luke and Laura. That's when Geary and Francis will pop in for a cameo playing their television roles."

The Wedding Singer, the new musical based on the Adam Sandler film of the same name, will end its Broadway run at the Hirschfeld Theatre Dec. 31. The musical will have played 30 previews and 284 performances.

Singer and comedian Lynch heads the cast as Robbie Hart, the role created on screen by film star Sandler. Lynch plays opposite two-time Tony Award nominee Laura Benanti, who co-stars as his love interest Julia. The cast also features Richard Blake, Cahoon, Felicia Finley, Rita Gardner, Maroulis and Amy Spanger.

In The Wedding Singer "it's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer," according to the producers. "He's the life of the party-until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding he plays as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of the decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. With a brand new score that pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980s, The Wedding Singer takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer just might be the coolest guy in the room."

The Wedding Singer plays the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, 302 West 45th Street.

ATTN:Marc Hirsh..What are you? A Clown??

Just wanted to give my .02 on this whacked out article written by Bozo..err I mean Marc Hirsh who mentions Constantine Maroulis. The entire article is a little lengthy so I will post and respond to the parts I have an opinion on. The full article can be found here but the part I want to talk about is found here

1."So why do successful recording careers elude almost all of them? A recent “Village Voice” profile of Constantine Maroulis hints at an answer. "

A successful recording career eluded Constantine Maroulis?? I strongly disagree. Constantine was and currently is working on his debut album scheduled to be released sometime early in 2007. Can the man get his album out there first before you judge the success of his recording career??(talking solo here..not Betty.) Oh, and VV is one article with one person's take on a day in the life of Mr. Maroulis. Someone else could have spent that same day with him at the same time and came away with something totally different. VV focused on one aspect of it.

2."The singer was, for better or for worse, one of the standouts of the fourth season of “Idol,”

I agree with this. There is no doubt about it. Constantine was one of the standouts of AI 4 .

3."a self-satisfied, ultra-theatrical smarm factory who desperately wanted to be a badass rocker. "

Self satisfied?? No. I don't think so. Someone who is self satisified would not be striving to further their career. They would be happy with the way things were/are. Not the case with Greekboy imo.
An ultra-theatrical smarm factory...yep. That's just one of the many reasons why Constantine was and still is so popular with his many fan bases and gaining more fans along the line. They love how he combines his theatrical experience and acting skills with the songs he performs to put on one of the best shows one could ever attend. Someone should buy Mr. Clown..I mean..Mr. Hirsh a ticket to the next Constantine show! He obviously hasn't been to one yet!
Desperately wanted to be a badass rocker?? Now I am not in Constantine's head so I can't tell you what it is that Constantine truly wants or wanted but I can tell you what I perceive him to want. Imo..Constantine wants to do it all. He said so on AI and still says so to this day. I think Mr. Maroulis wants to act, sing, write a few songs, do big screen, small screen, do Broadway, off Broadway, maybe even some directing of his own and one by one the Greek one is doing each of these things a little at a time. It's only the beginning. I'm sure there are many great and new things on Constantine's to do list and I'm sure those things will be checked off one by one all in good time.

4."His fiercely devoted fanbase couldn’t prevent him from being kicked out in sixth place, "
That statement is very true but it wasn't for lack of trying. Constantine's many fan bases supported him to the end during his run on AI(and most continue to support him to this day). You might want to read the fine print concerning AI. They have the right to eject anyone at any time for any reason they want. I used to have a link to back up my statement but it is eluding me at the moment. (Maybe another fan out there can help out with this.)

5."an event that caused Abdul to bawl magnificently on national television."
Paula wasn't the only one crying. and I'm sure I wasn't alone on this either. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise imo.

6."Maroulis seems to have never gotten over his ejection, and his plans to return to the public spotlight are so single-minded that they would more accurately be described as “plotting.”

I just don't see Greekboy sitting around sulking and crying over getting the boot off of AI. Instead I see him out there working at making all of his dreams come true. He's not an Idle Idol by any means. As far as his plans to return to the public spotlight..the man never left! The name "Constantine Maroulis" is continuously being heard and the man himself written about in many, many articles. Mr . Clown..I mean Hirsh even mentioned him in this article!
As far as single mindedness goes I don't see that as a bad thing. (although I disagree with the statement itself) You have to believe in yourself because if you don't who will and I'd like to meet one person who doesn't do some "plotting" to make the best out of their future! If you want something it's not gonna just drop in your lap. You have to think about what it is you want then get out there and make it happen. You have to plan, plot, and calculate your every move and how to make it happen and go after it because if you just sit there on your arse and wait for those things to come to you..you will most likely be waiting your life away. You have to get out there and go for it.

7."He broke up his band, Pray For The Soul Of Betty"

WTH??? This statement baffles the shit out of me. Constantine didn't break up PFTSOB. He himself left the band...a career decision he made and had every right to do so. As for the other band members...they were free to find a new lead singer and carry on. Happens all the time. For whatever reason they chose not to. In fact, if I remember correctly it was the Ex-Betty Drummer..Michael Hamboussi who announced that Betty was no more after Constantine announced his departure from the band. What the remaining Betty boys wanted to do was entirely in their hands. They chose to no longer be a band and to go in different directions. That had nothing to do with Constantine or with his departure. If PFTSOB wanted to remain a band, they would have.

8."and proposed modeling contracts and sitcom offers never materialized"

For cryin' out loud! To make a long story short..this dude needs a copy of the Chatterbox Interview delivered to him A.S.A.P.

9. "Even his current Broadway gig, in “The Wedding Singer” (where his costumes are still labeled with the name of the actor he replaced), smacks of the sort of C-list stuntcasting that results in Brooke Shields playing Roxie Hart and Sally Bowles. (It happened.)"

I think TWS costumes were still labeled with the name of the other actor because TWS was in danger of closing and it will be closing soon. Also..Constantine was not slated as a permanent replacement for the other actor which leads me to believe that they fully expected him(the other actor) to return to the show. Unfortunately, though ticket sales did pick up, it was a little too late and the show was unable to be saved.

10."What the article suggests is that Maroulis (and, by extension, the dozens of “Idol” finalists to date) has the career not of a recording artist but of a former reality show star, with all of the fleeting fame that that implies. "

That may be how Mr . Hirsh interprets the VV article and I say true..you can't have a career as a recording artist until you have a recording out there on the market. One is coming for Mr. Maroulis. With the release of his solo album and shows sure to follow..that is when we will know if Constantine has what it takes to be a successful recording artist(I happen to think that he does) and and to be successful in all other aspects that Greekboy is made of! I'm betting on the Greekboy! He's as hard headed as they come and he's willing to do what it takes to get to where he wants to be. I have total faith in his abilities. All of them.

And there you have it. My .02 on this article. Although I realize my opinions really aren't even worth 2 cents..it's my blog and I can do what I want with it so.. :P~

Reconciliation?

Seems that the divorce between Constantine Maroulis and the not so ex ex-co wives is not final! The Greek one stopped by tonight if only for a moment. Rumor has it that Greekboy admited that he loves 'em. Awww! Lets hope that they kiss and make up and live happily ever after! I just love happy endings!! (and Greekboy too!)

Thursday, November 09, 2006

Divorce is a very sad thing....

Forget about Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe, Britney Spears and FedEx. The divorce that everyone is talking about is the divorce that occurred just over a week ago between Constantine Maroulis and one of his fan bases. Seems an ex member/mod had a few comments that must have been the last straw for the Greek one. In response to an article written in "The Hub" one of the Ex Co Wives apparently posted that they thought Constantine was a jackass for dressing as a Pirate on Oct. 30th at Snitch in NY. Seems the Ex Co wife felt that Greekboy only dressed as a pirate due to "the board" and she didn't like that because she doesn't want him to do stuff because his fans beg him to. She went on to say that she wanted him to have his own intelligent, witty personality and wasn't happy because it was the fans idea that he sing I Think I Love You by the Partridge Family on AI. Don't know if Constantine saw the post himself or if someone sent it to him but those comments were enough for Greekboy to file for divorce. An exchange of words took place and then Constantine packed up his things and walked out the door. Seems Constantine waived his right to visitation and the remaining co wives are divided on if they would like to try to reconcile.
As for me...I'm still wearing Greekboy's favorite T-shirt and listening to his Purple Rain record too!! I still love and support my favorite Greek boy!!

Dallas and the Village Voice

I'm sure quite a few of you have read the Village Voice article on Constantine. Some loved it, some hated it, some were indifferent to it. Since there has been much debate over this article, I will try and share my feelings on the matter. I didn't think it was any big deal. It just shows another side of Constantine that some of us have never seen before. He has maintained since his AI days that he is a man of different flavors. You put the spoon in your mouth. If you iike it swallow it. If you don't then spit it out but don't let it ruin the rest of the meal! This article was only one course of it. There were many other courses before it and many more to follow. After seeing Constantine in Dallas this past weekend, reading this article in between, and then seeing him on the "Today" show this morning, I can assure you that there is still a long long wait for that dessert, people! Constantine knows when it's time to close the kitchen. Keep eating. You don't have to eat everything on your plate and you don't have to like everything you taste. I hope that those of you who didn't care for the last course will stick around and wait for something you like! I can promise you this...when it's time for the kitchen to shut down and the lights go out..you will sit back and remember what a fine meal it was and appreciate this great dinning experience as a whole!! With that said..Drinks are on the house!
Moving on to Dallas Greek Food Festival...I'm about out of time so I will say that it was unbelievably fun, lots of great songs, and I love this man's talents more than ever!!!
Have a good evening!

Fly by Vent

Yeah. I'm way behind and don't have time to catch up right now. The real world has been working my ass off so very little time for much of anything. However, I did steal a few precious moments of life for myself and saw that my favorite Greekboy mentioned that he was thinking about doing a once a week thing..for fun, not art with ex Betty drummer Hamboussi. Now alot of people may get mad at me for this but so be it. I am disappointed that Con would even think about doing this. He has so many things.. good things happening right now that I can't imagine why he would want to do such a thing. I know that the guys are friends but I really don't want to see Constantine up on a stage with Ham again. Be friends, hang out, party, have a good time but keep the music and the careers seperated from the friendship. Constantine is doing great with TWS and might do Brel, then there is supposed to be a solo album in the works to be released in 2007. His recent mini solo tour was great. Don't know if another leg of this tour is still in the works or not but I really dread the thought that after coming this far Constantine would take 3 steps back and imo and my opinion only..I think playin' with Ham on stage for fun or for art is exactly that. 3 steps back.
Why isn't Ham busy with his Outlaws and performing with them..whoever they are? Why is he trying to talk Constantine into playin' with him..even if it is only once a week? Take that once a week and try out for new Broadway shows, work once a week on the solo cd. Anything but hit the stage again with Ham. Maybe Constantine doesn't want the same things that I want for him. What I want for him doesn't matter. In fact, when it comes down to it..my aggravation isn't about what Constantine wants. It's about me. What I want to see Con do. What would make me happy and what I would enjoy. So I have discovered that I am selfish, self centered, and a whine ass. Having realized this..I'm glad I got this vent out of my system and the whole damn thing can be ignored. AH!! I'm done and feel much better! Now I can concentrate on my job with no distractions!!!

More on the Greek Food Festival in Dallas

Headlines 50th Greek Food Festival

Dallas, August 28, 2006 – Constantine Maroulis, one of American Idol‘s most famous finalists, will appear at the Greek Food Festival of Dallas, September 29 through October 1.

Like a visit to Greece, the annual church festival offers a rich, multi-sensory experience of Greek hospitality and culture, with savory cuisine, lively dancing, imported wines, and shopping that rivals Athens’ Plaka. There will be cooking and folk dancing demonstrations, church tours, a children’s area, and live entertainment all weekend. To mark the occasion, Mayor Laura Miller has declared the week of September 25th, Greek Week in Dallas.

Maroulis will perform Saturday, September 30th at 8:30 p.m., and Sunday, October 1, at 2:30 p.m. during the festival at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Road at Alpha. It’ll be the first Dallas appearance for the Brooklyn-born performer who, last year, was named “sexiest 30-year old” by People Magazine. Maroulis, currently appearing in the Broadway production of “The Wedding Singer,” will take a brief break from his role as Sammy in order to perform at the festival.

The American Idol with a Greek twist, Maroulis was born into a culture of soulful music and classic drama. The talented and charismatic, Constantine James Maroulis realized his passion for music and acting by the time he started high school. He is a graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music. His repertoire spans rock music, Summer Stock and Shakespeare. He has an album, TV and film projects in the works.

“We’re delighted to present Constantine center-stage during this landmark 50th anniversary celebration,” says festival chair George Naftis. “As a Greek-American community, we applaud Constantine’s talent and accomplishments.”

Festival lunch and dinner tickets cover the price of admission and Constantine’s performance. They can be purchased in advance for $10 and $15, respectively. Tickets for children 12 and under are $7 for lunch and $11 for dinner. Constantine’s performance is also included in the price of general admission tickets: $5 for adults and $3 for children. An a la carte menu includes “A Taste of Greek Dallas,” featuring signature dishes from the city’s best Greek restaurants. Tickets are available via www.greekfestivalofdallas.com, and at the church.

The Dallas festival, one of the oldest and largest in the country, kicks off with a preview night, Thursday, September 28, benefiting Girls Scouts of Tejas Council. The gala evening includes a seated dinner, open beer and wine bar, entertainment, and first-choice shopping in the marketplace. Tickets are $50 each, or $500 for a table of 10. Reservations must be made in advance by calling 972-207-0274.

A little ditty about Broadway!

Broadway.com

American Idol's Constantine Maroulis to Join The Wedding Singer in September

Constantine Maroulis, a contestant in the 2005 edition of American Idol, will join the cast of The Wedding Singer in early September in the role of Sammy, the not-so-bright bandmate of the title character. Maroulis has signed on an eight week run in the show, replacing Matthew Saldivar.

While attending the Boston Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music, Brooklyn-born Maroulis began appearing onstage in shows such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2002, he apprenticed at the Williamstown Theater Festival, where he appeared alongside Ron Leibman and Diane Venora in Donald Margulies' God of Vengeance. For most of the next year, he toured North America and Asia as Roger in Rent and began his own rock band, Pray for the Soul of Betty. Among the highlights of Maroulis's stint on American Idol was his rendition of "My Funny Valentine" during the show's Broadway theme week. Though he was voted off (Carrie Underwood eventually won), he became one of the show's most popular finalists. In the summer of 2005 Maroulis toured North America with the other Idol finalists and performed his version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on The Tonight Show in support of his inclusion on Hollywood Records' Killer Queen tribute CD. He is currently at work on his solo debut with a new EP planned for late summer/early fall, and a full length release set for 2007.
With Broadway providing fertile ground for American Idol alumni, Maroulis follows in the footsteps of Diana DeGarmo, who returns to Hairspray as Penny Pingleton on September 8 through February 11, 2007, Tarzan star Josh Strickland and Frenchie Davis, who is currently starring in Rent.

The Wedding Singer continues to star Stephen Lynch, Tina Maddigan (subbing for Laura Benanti, who is on medical leave), Richard H. Blake, Kevin Cahoon, Felicia Finley, Amy Spanger and Rita Gardner.

Constantine on Broadway!!!

Real life has a death grip on me and won't let go so as usual, I'm a million miles behind! Gaaaaaah!! Anyway...the short and quick catch up entry goes something like this....

Just coming off of leg one of a successful mini tour so to speak and upcoming appearances on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1st at the Greek Food Festival in Dallas, Tx. and two sold out performances at the Viper Room..Constantine Maroulis refuses to slow down. He's deteremined to do it all and by the looks of it, he just may pull it off!
Constantine will play "Sammy" in the Broadway show "The Wedding Singer" in early September! OWWWWWWW!!! Congrats to the pretty Greekboy!
For those of you who are concerned you can relax and breathe deep! No scissors for the Greekboy and no mullet! He will be wearing a wig!!! Whew!!! There is a God!!!

Here's a quick pic of Constantine at the Mad Golf benefit. I bet his legs were burnt to a crisp by the end of the day. Poor Greekboy! Also, he got to sing with one of HIS idols..One of the original members of "The Doors". I'm not sure which member that was but I'm fairly certain it wasn't Jim Morrison!

Malaysia Show has went Belly up

Just wanted to inform you that the Malaysia date is not going to happen. At least not now. It was a false rumor. It seems a fan was wishing out loud which caused quite a bit of confusion. I appologize for the false info and to the Malaysia fans out there waiting in line to see Constantine. New tour dates will not be posted here until they have been confirmed. I don't like to add to the chaos most of the time if I can help it. However, I do speak my mind on things once in awhile. Sometimes it angers people but that's ok. Sometimes I get a lot of support. That's all up to the individual. We can't all see eye to eye all of the time. It's just not going to happen. It's all good. I can dig it. Hope you all can as well!

Constantine@Dewey Beach, DE

Constantine will be at the Rusty Rudder at the Rudder Lounge on Aug. 3. It's a FREE show but I believe it's for 21+.

Updated Tour Info!

The Boston show has changed it is now:

Paradise, Boston MA.

It is NOT the Axis. Also, apparently this show is for 18+ at this venue.

Seems to be a rumor floating around that Constantine has also added a Malaysian date. Don't think it has been confirmed so take it with a grain of salt for the time being.

9/6 Genting Highland, PH-MY - Arena All Star

Greekboy is always switching things up so it's no surprise that the switching includes his tour as well! Heh heh.

A little diddy about Con's album

From MTV News (6/23/06):

Constantine Maroulis has begun recording his debut solo album. "It's rock and roll, but it's not like the band, " the former "American Idol" finalist said, referring to his former group, Pray for the Soul of Betty. "It's a bit more commercial, a bit more pop. I'm a little older now, and it's got a mature sound, a bit of a Rob Thomas/ Santana thing. It's got some great Bon Jovi elements, a little Ricky Martin in there. And I'm writing a lot of it too." ...

Constantine visits Kidney Transplant Recipient!

http://wfmz.com/cgi-bin/tt.cgi?action=viewstory&storyid=16796

The winner may have been announced two weeks ago, but that didn't stop one American Idol from making a dream come true for a local student.
Devyn Snyder received a visit from former Idol contestant Constantine Maroulis (muh-ROWL-lis), courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Devyn is a fifth grader at Conrad Weiser Middle School and recently had a kidney transplant. Constantine performed

Four songs and later praised the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Constantine Maroulis / 00:11:01

I think it's amazing what they're doing for young people everywhere and I'm just glad to be a part of it.

School faculty planned a big school picnic to keep the exciting news a secret from the students.

I'm so happy for Devyn and thankful for the Make A Wish Foundation and Constantine for making this little girl's dreams come true!!!

Creation Nation and ramblings of the disCONtented

Constantine to Appear 6/10 in "Creation Nation: A Live Talk Show" in NYC!
For more information and to purchase tickets, please consult the show’s website:

www.creationnationstation.com

Sorry, folks! I 've never heard of this show but Con is scheduled to make a brief appearance and any Greekboy sighting is a good Greekboy sighting in my book!!

Also been hearing rumors that constantinemaroulis.net should be up and running sometime this month. (Could "Soon" mean June??) Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I've heard pissing and moaning over the Spiediefest thing where Con is going to perform in August. Some people aren't too happy that other AI performers are reportedly going to be performing there as well. I say..get the hell over it!! Be thankful for another chance to see Constantine. SOME Constantine fans make SOME of his other fans (me...for instance) feel embarressed because even though I know you all mean well...sometimes you come off sounding so heartless, selfish, and needy. Yeah..ok. I'll give you the needy part because we all do NEED more Constantine, but that's beside the point! I'm sure you all support Constantine enough to sit through a few performers that you might not really be interested in listening to due to the excitement of Constantine but we want our feelings to be respected and so do the fans of the other AI performers at that event. Allow them their time to enjoy this event. Treat them all with kindness and courtesy. Isn't that how we would want to be treated and for Constantine to be treated as well???
I know I'm nobody and my feelings don't mean squat to anyone but put yourself in someone else's shoes and think about some of the things you may have said. How would that look and feel if it were said about Constantine?? Not too good, I'm sure. Remember all of those reports during the AI4 tour of how Constantine devoted so much time to his fans and did everything he could to try to spend as much time with them as possible? So much time that he was late for the bus, etc??? That's sort of the way we should treat the fans of others. Let them enjoy their moment and Con fans will enjoy their moment all the more!!! Wouldn't it be great for Con fans to be known for their thoughtfulness, kindness, and concideration of other fans rather than their belly aching, rudeness, temper tantrums, and whining because things don't always go their way?? That's what I'd like people to think when they hear that I'm a fan of Constantine Maroulis.
I'm not trying to tell anyone what to do , say , think or feel. Just trying to give you all a little something to step back and think about. I would think that as fans of Constantine we would want to represent him and ourselves in the best light possible and I don't think we've been doing that. Just my own thoughts and opinion.

The Natives are getting restless

Been reading around on some of the Constantine boards and it seems that the natives are getting restless. Tired of no product, claims that Constantine is losing fans, blah blah blah. All I can say is I'm sure Constantine is working his butt off and doing everything he can to get the ball rolling. A great product takes time and patience. This man has given us so much in the past year! Is it really fair to expect so much from the guy?? He has to eat, sleep, and take time out for himself as well as keep his name and face out there in the public eye which he has been doing.(and doing a great job at it imo) The man answers PM's, visits his fans message boards from time to time, has told us all that he can about what he's doing and what's going on behind the scenes. Most celebs wouldn't give a rat's behind. He's given us more in the past year than most celebrities give their fans in their whole career!!! Cut the Greekboy some slack.
As far as losing fans..I don't think that's really the case. I think that fans are getting back to their lives and living it (and I believe that's what Con would want them to do) and when the Greek one releases that solo cd and the dates for the solo tour start getting posted, all of those fans you claim Constantine is losing are going to come running back just as fast as they can. He'll gain new fans as well with the release of the new album and his fandom will grow larger than ever!!!
Constantine wouldn't want any of us to stop living our lives, spending quality time with our friends and family and doing the things we enjoy doing while waiting for all of the great things that are coming up!!! It's ok to stop thinking about him every second of your life. It's ok to listen to other music, laugh with your friends, go to other concerts, enjoy all the other things that life has to offer. That doesn't mean that the people who are getting back to these things are no longer fans. It just means that they have other things to do as well..just like Constantine who can't keep bending over backwards trying to please everyone all at once. Enjoy the time you have now to do other things because the next time Constantine sets foot on a stage with his new band and solo tour and the new album is released...the rest of the world will once again cease to exist and it will once again be all about Constantine!! I have faith and I believe in him but until the time is right and everything is set to go..I will enjoy the things that I have neglected this past year and give a little extra to those I love because I know and they know it's only a matter of time before the Greek God returns to claim his Kingdom!!! Keep the faith, people. Really.

We had a very great time meeting Sylvia and her family at the UCLA Medical Center for Make A Wish Foundation. They were fabulous and it was very touching. All of our prayers are for her tomorrow when she goes in to replace a pace maker and has a heart valve replacement (her second). The parents were delighted because she will be going into surgery with a smile on her face and a dream come true for her. What an amazing foundation and hats off to Lorie Hennessey who helped coordinate for us and Flint from UCLA.

I will get some pictures to you all when I finally stop and have time to download them.

Hmmm....I think that about covers it for NOW. We'll see! The mighty Greek one is full of surprises!!! Constantine said not too long ago that we would soon be sick of seeing him. Better step up the pace, Greek boy!!! We are nowhere near being sick of seeing you!! In fact, you might as well hang that thought up cuz it will never happen!! You can keep trying though! We don't mind at all!! In fact, we want MORE MORE MORE!!!!!! OWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please visit this site!!!

Please take a moment to visit the great site above!! It is under new ownership as stated and it has everything you can imagine that pertains to Constantine Maroulis!!!! It is not written by Constantine but rather by fans and it's just amazing!!! Great articles, info, pics and more!!! Check 'em out!!! I promise you'll love it!! Muah!!!! Love and hugs to Con and his superfantastic amazing fans!!!!

Fox And Friends.

Our friend, Constantine Maroulis stopped by Fox and Friends this morning to give us the knitty gritty on what's going on with him and who he thinks may win AI5.
Constantine said his album should be out by the end of the year..maybe sooner. It's distinctly rock n roll with something for everyone! It's all original music . He's writing alot of it and Conman has been collaborating with some amazing people from LA to NY to Nashville on the songs. (care to drop us some names or at least initials, oh Greek one??) Constantine gave a really great interview! Looked more handsome than ever!! Can't wait for all the great things coming up of Constantine!!!
I must say that I have to disagree with Brian. Constantine's departure from AI WAS and STILL IS the biggest shocker in AI history!! Chris getting the boot was #2. Oh and I'm sure Fox and Friends has recieved at least a million and one emails on how to pronounce Ma-ROO-lis. (Maroulis) So..enough blabbing and I'll just let ya all watch for yourselves. Please excuse the sound if it's out of sync. That would be photobucket's fault. Not mine!

A Handful of Hypocrites

Keep on Praying for the Soul of Betty. By the looks of a handful of their fans, the now dead band's members are going to need all the help they can get.
One band member says "no one tried harder than me to make this work, no one..." and he is lifted high upon a golden pedestal and worshipped.
A couple of weeks ago another band member said " I do work hard. I work harder than anyone" and that man is doused in gasoline and burned alive at the stake. Can anyone other than myself see the hypocricy here?? Surely I can't be that delusional.
The double standards without rhyme or reason are just unfreaking believable. How in the hell do the minds of a handful of these people work??? They are shape shifters. Bending, molding, and conforming to whatever state they need to be in to serve their purpose. Sad and sickening.

Betty's Dead R.I.P

It's been awhile. Haven't died. Just busy. So...Hamboussi..the former drummer of the now layed to rest band Pray for the Soul of Betty gave the last rights and eulogy for the group without the other band members on his myspace page. Hmmm...Seems a certain sexy and charming Greek boy did nothing more but announce his departure from the band on the BB's and was condemned to rot in hell for it for all eternity . Not for leaving the band mind you but for announcing it himself without the other band mates. Yet, Ham can dig the grave for Betty all by himself and everyone is all smiles and cheesecake.
Who died (besides the band) and left Hamboussi to reign as king for the remaining band members?? Why are Betty fans just A-Ok with this but yet ripped another ex band member to shreds for announcing his departure but Ham announces that Betty is no more and all is well??? It doesn't make any sense. What about Taylor (who is a true sweetheart)?? He knew this was coming and never said anything and simply in my opinion ..more or less just strung the Betty fans along. Yet no expressed feelings of betrayal by the now non existant band as we knew it???
Talk about f'cked up reasoning!
This doesn't apply to all Betty fans. Most are great people and very kind and generous. I'm talking about the handful of Betty fans who have the biggest mouths. They are easy to recognize. They're the ones with a foot dangling between their lips 24/7. Usually their own! The ones who follow around a hot, sexy, and talented Greek man all over cyberspace to make their nasty little comments that nobody gives a rat's ass about. Seriously. If you can't stand someone, why on earth would you waste so much time and energy tracking his every move?? Two words maybe...Dumb Asses. Yep. That about sums it up.
Guess that's what happens when you do things half assed. Take away the glue and the project falls apart!
This is my opinion and if you don't dig it, tough shit.

How much is that Greekboy in the window..

Constantine Maroulis is a very busy man. Yesterday he was at the FOA in NY lending a hand at finding good homes for some adorable dogs and cats!!! I'm sure Greek boy was also given lots of requests and offers to adopt Greekboy himself!! Who wouldn't want to take this sexy beast home??!!!

Also, Constantine has revealed that while in Nashville he wrote a couple of new songs. One is called "So Long" and he says : "It's ballad with a cool Tesla/Bon Jovi feel. Real Rock n' Roll! Very radio friendly." Another song he wrote is called "My Favorite T-shirt" and he says: it "is a fun sing along type with edge and strong hook." Wow! Looking forward to that!!!

On the subject of tours, concerts , etc....Constantine said : "Piecing dates together for Spring and Summer as we speak. Everything from festivals to HOB. Some "An Intimate Night with Constantine Maroulis" shows too. That's how you can tell a great song from an OK one."

So it looks like the Greekboy Fandom will be seeing and hearing alot of the mighty Greek One in the very near future!! We are all looking forward to it, Connie!!!

I know that I am way behind on a lot of things but that "I have a life" thing just seems to be taking over more than usual these days. Hopefully, things will settle down and I can "not have a life" for awhile in the future so that I can keep things up to date!! Thanks !! Love to Con, as always!!!

Church Benefit and Greek Independance day

Sorry for getting so far behind but life kind of happens here and there and it sometimes it can take up more time than you expect! HA! Anyway..Constantine did a benefit concert for his church in NY which raised quite a bit of money for the church expansion project. Very cool. They presented him with the drum he played in the Church Christmas pageant as a kid. Also, Con was on Good Day NY this morning! Said he hoped the solo album would be out in Sept. and that it would make a nice B-day present for him!! He will be a guest of honor at the Greek Independance day parade in NY and I believe he will be riding with the mayor. That's the latest Con news as I know it! Owwwwwwww!!! Also, Con looks hott and sexay sportin' his new glasses!! Handsome he is!!!

Speaking my peace and then going forward

I've had a few days to think about the Con/Betty split and this is what I think and feel about the whole ungodly mess. First off, I would never of heard of PFTSOB had Constantine not been on AI and I hadn't of fell for him. I supported the band because Constantine was a part of it. I never got to go to any of the concerts and I never got to see Constantine on the AI Tour. During the process of supporting PFTSOB for the sake of Constantine the band kind of grew on me and so did the other three guys. When Con announced his split from Betty, all kinds of not so great things started being said by the Betty fans about Constantine. I won't get into all of those details but I will say this. None of them said those things until the night Constantine announced he was leaving. Then it was an all out war of words. Some of them now announce their dislike and disgust with Constantine and insist that he is just this horrible person. The way I see it is..he wasn't horrible enough to make these people bring this stuff to light before he announced leaving the band and when asked why they didn't say anything before they said it was to protect the band and so that they wouldn' t lose their pro con fans. Ok..so why when Con announced his departure did their pro con fans become less important to them because apparently that's what happpened. They didn't care any more about how their pro con friends felt because what was important at that moment in time was theirselves. They were hurt and pissed at Constantine so they lashed out at him airing their behind the scenes BS that should have remained behind the scenes. The only purpose in speaking of them at that time was to hurt Constantine and make him mad just as they were angry and hurt. When asked if Constantine hadn't of left the band would they had said anything about all of that crap..they said no because of the band. What the hell difference does it make?? The end result is still the same and a little worse. Con is not with the band and they hurt their pro con friends and Constantine as well. Why?? Anger and they felt betrayed. Anyone with common sense would know that sooner or later Constantine was going to strike out on his own and make a name for himself while he could. He would be a fool not to. I mean the guy just came off of the AI tour and not long after that was touring with Betty. Then he did a short tour of his own which everyone loved who went and returned once again to tour with Betty. The Betty boys were there for Constantine during his solo tour and Con was there for the band when they did their little mini tour. Constantine had said that would be the last tour with them for awhile because he had some solo stuff he wanted to do..a solo album and a solo tour and now he's also got an indie movie and I think his "show" is still in developement as well. Now where in the hell was he going to work Betty into that?? Solo means solo..not you and the band from back home in NY. Not to mention the fact that Con will be spending alot of time in LA. I also heard Constantine say a long time ago that he and the band were going in different directions as far as the music etc. I heard him say that and I'm NOBODY so why wasn't the band and the Betty fans listening? Con dropped subtle hints that his departure from the band was coming but they closed their ears and minds and didn't listen. Knowing that Con had all of these plans and offers on the table do you mean to tell me the Betty boys thought they would just hang around for what could be years waiting on Constantine to finish up his other projects?? maybe they thought Constantine would take them with him. Move 'em to LA and let them wait around in the sun until Con got a spare moment to sing a song or two with them. Give me a break. Constantine has every right to go out there and make a name for himself. It's his life. Constantine was not married to Betty so he does not have to divide his assets with them . He does not owe them anything. They should still be thanking him for making their tour a success because without Constantine's name and face on that tour..not nearly as many people would have came. Betty didn't get Betty noticed. Constantine got Betty noticed. Anyone who can deny that has really got problems. All of that behind the scenes rigamaroll should have just stayed there...behind the scenes. It has nothing to do with Constantine's career or Betty's career other than the fact that Constantine quit the band. Those who spouted off all of that garbage are spiteful, hateful people and thank God I was never a part of them. I just went to the boards and read about the band. Now they have taken the Constantine pics out of the band's website etc. All I can say is ..you can delete and erase him out of those pictures but you can't delete or erase him out of the history of the band. I also think that removing his pictures is a grade school temper tantrum. You know...your first love. You break up for whatever reason and then go home and cut them out of the pictures that you had taken together! LMAO! What a joke! Don't get me wrong..I still like the other three Betty boys and if their new album is good I might even buy it. I'm still going to love and support Constantine because I don't know Constantine the person. I know Constantine the entertainer. The performer. The guy on the stage with so much charisma, talent, and energy that I just can't resist!!! I don't care what Con does behind the scenes so long as when he is front and center on that stage or playing on my stereo , coming at me from my tv screen and the big screen he keeps me rockin' , smiling, and mesmerized with his performance, stage pressence, and charm. That's the man I know and love and will continue to do so.

End of my rant!

I will keep this brief...

Due to both creative and business reasons I have decided to leave Betty.

I thank you all for the love and support you have shown me and the boys. You are amazing. I know this comes as a surprise to most of you but it has been in the cards for a long time coming. We had an amazing time on tour and have had some great shows. It is just time. I can no longer expect the band to wait for me to pursue my solo endeavors...it is not fair to them. I will not bore you with the rest. They are three very talented artists and I trust you will continue to support them in whatever they chose to do. I know you will. I hope you will continue to support me as well.

Please know that some amazing things are instore for me and I assure you...you will be the first to know!!

Thank you...for everything!!

Love always,

Constantine~
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
All I can say is I support both Constantine and the remaining Betty boys and have no hard feelings or grudges towards either/or. Going to look forward to the great things coming for all in the future and hope to be a part of all of it!!!!
Everybody's talkin' bout the new sound ....funny, but it's still rock and roll to me!!

The Long cool one

Constantine was at the AI top 12 party last night so thought I'd post a pic of him from that event. Hope the Conman had a great time! Also saw a couple of pics of him somewhere holding hands with a cute little blonde. Yeah...I'm jealous. The highest form of flattery. Is that flattery for Con or for the cute little blonde?? I'm guessing a little bit of both because we all are wishing we were that cute little blonde holding hands with Constantine and flattery for Con because we all want to be the one holding his hand. oh, well. In my dreams..............

A trail of bones

Ah! Thanks to Greekboy for making my day!! He once again stepped up to the plate and set a self proclaimed "insider" straight! I so love when he does that! You can always count on Constantine or someone appointed for him to clear up any rumours that may be floating around out there!!! Seems someone asked him to toss them a bone during the process which he did! Bwaaahahaha!!! If it weren't for reading about this inncident, I wouldn't have had any reason to smile!! Thanks, Greekboy! You came through for me yet again!!

Constantine's myspace bites the dust

Seems that Greekboy somehow managed to delete his myspace account by accident. The whole thing went bye bye. Not sure if he will be able to get it back or if he will have to rebuild it. Just another example of why we love him! Here's his post from the BB:

Well, you have a line of "friends" just waiting for the chance to be added Constantine! Lots of love to ya!

As for me, yeah. It's been awhile since I've been able to post anything. Sometimes life in the real world kind of takes over and you have to put other things on hold . Hopefully, I have all of my obligations met out here in wonderland and can now return to writing on a consistant basis. Keep your fingers crossed!

Valentine's day Part II

Here's the article from AI Mag! Enjoy!!!

Since he was voted off American Idol last spring, Constantine Maroulis has done anything but fade away. His natural gifts as an entertainer have taken him to high places - and his fans scream for more.

Eros...move over! There's a new Greek God of Love in town: tall, dark, exotic. He comes at you with sultry eyes and a mystique that could curl your toes.

Constantine Maroulis is considered by many to be the most authentic rocker from American Idol Season 4. Some claim he's "the sexiest man alive" or even "the slickest dude walking the planet;" People magazine even weighed in by naming him one of the 30 Sexiest Men. Now he's preparing to star in an ABC television sitcom for Cheers and Frasier star Kelsey Grammer's Production Company.

Either way you swing it, the 6'3" Greek Adonis kept fans glued to their television sets for months, then strutted his stuff in three dozen cities on the American Idols Tour this past summer. His fans embrace every move he makes, yet Constantine continues to be left speechless when he's bombarded with tokens of appreciation.

Four months later, Constantine was back on a black leather couch, once again needing a break. Only this time, his world whirled in a cyclone of opportunities. New York City's glitzy Biltmore Room provided the backdrop as Constantine supplied and sought answers to the big question: how did this American Idol finalist manage to grab a coveted brass ring without making it to the Top 5?

The crowded restaurant glowed with candlelight, and rhythmic chatter filled the dining room - until 7:00 p.m. At that point, intrigue quieted the diners as Constantine strode through the massive ornamented iron gates from the smoky Manhattan Street. All heads turned to spy the 30-year-old paragon with the chestnut hair, ripped and tattered jeans, and weathered black cowboy boots. It was clear: this Idol could capture the souls of all who came upon him just by being himself.

Old-World Beginnings

Constantine's foundation is as solid as the Parthenon, with strong wisdom handed down from trusted family members, which include two older siblings. "My parents were born right out of the depression and I've always had strong values," he says.

Born in Brooklyn, much of his character was cleaved by his grandmother, who without speaking any English built a small empire from a single diner. She did so despite being widowed at 40 and left to raise six children by herself. "I was very young when my grandmother died, but I know what great people my grandparents were from stories my parents tell. I share my grandfather's name, Constantine. My mother is also named after him. She is Constantina."

When Constantine was five, he and his family moved out to the suburbs of New Jersey. His father worked on big machinery and computers. "My father worked the graveyard shift and crazy hours. I didn't know him much when I was a kid. my parents worked really hard. We didn't go on big vacations. We didn't have a lot," he says.

A Voice Appears

While flipping favorite baseball cards and gazing into skies, cutting lawns or shoveling snow, Constantine could be heard imitating voices from radio and television favorites. "My mother wasn't into it at all," he laughed, while tossing his locks from his unshaven face. "They wanted no part of that! I would mimic voices like Nat King Cole's 'Unforgettable,' in that real character sort of voice he had. I would do Sinatra and even tunes from The Wizard of Oz."

Constantine recalled, without hesitation, those teachers in his life that inspired and encouraged him to develop his concealed gift. He did so with a focus that emanates from deep within his soul. "I will never forget Mr. Thompson in elementary school. The first day of his class, I walked into this big music room and he had wraps of keyboards set up with big amplifiers. I was really blown away! He put a huge show together called The History of Rock and Roll, and I was cast as Paul McCartney in the Beatles segment," he says.

As his early teen years unfolded, Constantine struggled as his personal shortcomings hindered him greatly. “I was so shy and awkward. I was very geeky, skinny, and ugly too. I had no confidence.” Setting out to gain self-assurance and popularity against the often cut-throat, cliquish high school mentality, Constantine Maroulis became the bad boy, with a bad attitude. He topped it off with bad grades.

However, he kept his musical focus. Constantine played trumpet in school, but he was hardly a front-runner. “My band teacher didn’t like me. He had no faith in me.” And so, Constantine left the band and his trumpet behind…not knowing that beyond the closed door was a superhighway to his future. “It was the best thing that ever happened to me, though, because I joined chorus and met Mrs. Birdsill,” he says.

A Guardian Angel Nurtures Her Student

As the face of a big, jolly white-haired woman crossed his memory, Constantine smiled. “I remember how (Mrs. Birdsill) would sit at her piano. She took me aside one day and said, ‘you have a real talent, Constantine, and you need to focus and do better in school because this could be something you could pursue professionally one day.’ She encouraged me to do shows and theater and she wanted more than anything for me to be a part of that and audition for plays, but I never did.”

Pausing, his eyes filled with tears. “Mrs. Birdsill passed away the day before the big opening of the show at school. It was a shock. And exactly one year later on opening night of another show, a gigantic owl with huge white feathers perched itself on the telephone pole outside of the school and sat there all day. I remember just staring at it for hours, and I just knew it was a sign. That owl was there for me. Mrs. Birdsill truly changed my life because after that I started auditioning for the plays – it changed everything. She really believed in me. She saw it in my eyes. I believe in many ways she is my guardian angel.”

And so it began. Constantine auditioned for West Side Story and was cast as one of the Jets. Being a part of the show, working with fellow performers and learning about the theater was all he needed for his spark to ignite: “This is when I knew what I wanted to be.”

By his senior year of high school, Constantine snagged all the leads in school productions while rockin’ with his first band, lady Rain. “It was my senior year that I started to get the rock star thing going,” he recalls. “People like me all of a sudden. I was the guy who could sing really well and I was finally accepted. I started to grow my hair long, go into my room, slam the door, and blast my music. My mother hated it!”

Moving Forward: A Performer’s Journey

At 21, Constantine moved forward, with rock and roll tucked safely in his back pocket. He wanted to perform; his journey led to the Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center in Nyack, NY. “I felt no one understood me. I was so insecure, but I saw that owl in my head and I kept moving forward,” he says. “I got a job in the chorus of Jesus Christ Superstar. There was one technically trained actor I really admired. He had it all.”

A year later, Constantine packed his bags and headed north to the Boston Conservatory. The fun and games were over. Constantine’s chosen path now centered on one of the most respected performing arts colleges in the nation. Constantine was thrown into a world of die-hard instruction in an environment that has broken plenty of talented but undisciplined artists and dreamers. His studies were strenuous; he learned about theater, dance, and music from consummate pros. Constantine embraced their merciless behavior in a way that only those raised in old-school homes and those determined to reach the top could understand. “I had hard-core teachers. They made Simon Cowell look like nothing,” he said, laughing out loud. “They knew I had potential. They never gave up on me.”

Constantine performed in many shows, including the lead in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. “That was huge for me. It was my big acting breakthrough from a technical standpoint. I was able to mask myself, and I was believable as a completely different person.”

After completing an apprenticeship at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Constantine graduated from The Boston Conservatory in 2002. He now possessed the ingredient to complete his magical formula of success: confidence.

A Chameleon and a Singer

When Constantine returned home to New York City, he had it all – the talent, the look, the confidence…and the lead in Rent. He’d undertaken a hero’s journey – not the athletic kind, which is defined by a good jump shot and media attention, but the Joseph Campbell variety, in which a person dives deep into his darkest corners and feelings of inadequacy, burns through them, and transforms through the fires of trials. In Constantine’s case, the Boston Conservatory provided wood and flame for those fires.

He performed in New York theaters and played with various bands before leaving with Rent’s touring company. Still, he was restless; his rock music needs weren’t being met.

A year later, in 2003, Constantine heard that three guys were looking for a lead singer. He hopped a train and swaggered into a studio in the increasingly artistic Williamsburg district of Brooklyn. With charisma established and vocals strong and sure, he auditioned for Taylor, C.R., Joao Joya, and Hamboussi, now known to millions as Pray for the Soul of Betty. “He just had it,” recalled bassist Taylor, C.R. “We auditioned over 150 singers, and with Constantine, we all just jammed.”

Pray for the Soul of Betty played all summer in the sweltering studio, as Constantine dropped his calculated strategy into the laps of three zealous musicians: “I’m the lead in Rent and I have a rock and roll band from NYC that will kick you in the face.” The dichotomy was perfect: Playing Roger fed his acting desire, and being Betty’s lead vocalist fulfilled the bad boy. “The band gives me a chance to be more of a hard-edged, sloppy, rock and roll guy. I don’t have to smile when I’m that guy. That’s my alter ego who’s up there in that band,” he admitted with a grin. In September 2003, Pray for the Soul of Betty hit the road for a year with Rent’s lead man fronting the band and captivating audiences from coast to coast.

“I’m Auditioning for American idol and You’re Coming With Me”

In the summer of 2004, after returning home from Betty’s successful tour, Constantine’s fate shifted again. A dear friend, Jessica, put it bluntly: “Constantine, I’m auditioning for American Idol and you’re coming with me.”

The multi-talented ace simply said, “No, I’m not!”

She persisted. “Yes you are, Constantine. You’re a star. You just need an opportunity.”

Constantine pondered the challenge. He accepted, auditioned, and played to win a game that would change his life. “I approached Idol from day one like it was a job interview or gig,” he says. “I brought experience and knowledge to the table.”

Constantine arrived in Hollywood. Only this time, 35 million television viewers held front-row tickets. He sprung into homes twice a week with loaded guns firing unstoppable talent and appeal. Constantine sang “My Funny Valentine” into California cameras with a crooning style that became his signature. “I approached all the songs from an acting standpoint and approached the lyrics as I would Shakespeare text,” he recalls.

Fro six week, audiences were riveted. Fans and judges alike braced for a collision course showdown between Constantine, Southern rocker Bo Bice, country queen Carrie Underwood and soul maven Vonzell Solomon. When Constantine unleashed Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” a most difficult two-measure song, he showed the world his range and that he meant business. His efforts were sincere, his focus unshakable, his execution brilliant. Later in the year, he would reprise Freddie Mercury’s tour de force on Hollywood Records’ tribute album Killer Queen. It was the album’s definitive performance.

Then the votes were counted: A curve ball had been thrown. On a dark Wednesday night, American Idol host Ryan Seacrest read the unthinkable: "America, Constantine is going home."

A lesser performer would have been crushed. Not Constantine.

‘The Bad Guy You Would Still Let Your Daughters Date’

An industry giant followed Constantine out of town and reeled him right back to Hollywood. Steve Stark, President of Grammnet Productions, remembered that evening well. "When Constantine got voted off the show, my house went upside down! My children and wife were calling friends, neighbors, classmates... it just didn't stop! I immediately knew there was a lot more to this guy than just being a singer. It was time to talk."

Constantine was ready to talk. More importantly, he was ready to listen. Within a short time, a new sitcom comedy project went into full development, with Constantine at the wheel of his own destiny. “He’s a big personality with charming appeal. He’s the ‘bad’ guy you would still let your daughters date,” Stark says. The show idea, based on Constantine’s life, was presented to networks; ABC Touchstone snapped it up.

Today, Constantine Maroulis holds the golden key; his vision, hard work, and talent earned him that honor. His days are consumed. This past December, he played before sellout crowds at New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom and The House of Blues. With plans for a solo album underway (a collection of personal favorites) and a Pray for the Soul of Betty tour on the docket, Constantine continues to challenge himself to become a better person and artist. Underneath his suit of drama, he admits, “I’m still a dork and just me! I represent all the struggling artists out there. If I can do it, anybody can do it.”

Duct Tape sales on the rise!

Yes and it's all due to the Greekboy/PFTSOB front man...Constantine Maroulis! It seems fans got some larger than life package shots of the Greek God at the concert in Anaheim where the Greekboy had a slight wardrobe malfunction! The Greekboy busted down the door to the "Nut Cracker Suite" and fans got a peek at what was behind the door! Not to worry! Thank God for duct tape! It saved the day and contained the contents of the "Nut Cracker Suite" throughout the remainder of the show! All is well. I would have loved to have been the duct tape that night! Only in my dreams.....
